Improving Postsecondary Success for Young Adults
A Partnership between the NCTN and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation
In March 2010, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation engaged the NCTN to profile 17 states with a focus on identifying adult education policy levers and practices that increase the number of young adults who reach a postsecondary credential. This partnership was a part of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation’s Postsecondary Success initiative. This initiative aimed to address the needs of nontraditional students in order to increase the number of students that enter postsecondary education and complete a postsecondary credential that provides family- sustaining wages.
