Policy Forum: Addressing Adult Learners' Financial Barriers to Postsecondary Education

The National College Transition Network organized its Fall 2008 Policy Forum titled Addressing Adult Learners' Financial Barriers to Postsecondary Education. This Policy Forum was organized for state adult education directors and/or their designees. The Policy Forum took place on October 28, 2008 from 1 to 2:30 PM (EST).

Guest experts from the Council of Adult and Experiential Learning (CAEL) shared the results from their recent study, Adult Learning in Focus. Also, participants were encouraged to share their challenges, questions and successes in making college education more affordable for adults.

This was the first of three interactive webinars geared to help advance the sharing and formation of policies that support adult learners’ access to and success in college.
